what are the chances of getting pregnant at almost 42?
i havnt used contreception for 28 months ive never missed a period i already have 3 grown up kids i was very fertile in my 20 s im not so sure now do i have a chance as i wnat to give my new husband a baby
I had a second cousin who first married and had her first baby at 42. Baby was healthy. I had a very good friend who married first time at 42 and had first baby also at 42 – 43. Baby had Down Syndrome. The way I see it you have a 50/50% chance of succeeding. Not sure though why you want to deprive a potential baby of your best years of youth and energy. Why do I ask? You state that, “I want to give. . .” I see no discussion on this among you two. How do you know he wants to be involved in being a father at this age? All I see is that “you want”. Maybe you should be discussing all the ramifications of being a newlywed and mother all at once again in your life. Are you two on the same page? Maybe he just wants you in the picture? You will be over 60 yrs old when this kid hits 20. Just suppose this kid is born with Down Syndrome? What will be his/her quality of life when you are struggling to remain healthy when you are 70 or 80?

I am remembering this woman who lied about her age to get artificially inseminated at 60+. The baby was born at the end of 2007 and less than a month or so she discovered she has inoperable cancer! She has no family to take the baby and what will happen to baby once it enters the “system”? Just a few thoughts to help jog you to reality.
IVF what are the chances of getting pregnant with ivf at the age of 42 how much per treatment?
IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps
What are my chances and risk of getting pregnant at 41 and having the child at 42?
I’m 41 and want to have a baby. I have two other sons at ages 12 and 15. By already having children is the helping me or hurting me. Please answer.
I would say, before you start to try , Talk to your doctor. He may want to do some tests to see how healthy you are and explaining your risk before you start. Good Luck to you .
i m 28 and my hubby is 42,we r trying for baby for past 5 months, what r the chances of getting pregnant?
does age matter,i think we both r at quite right age for baby making
Age does not matter at all. Haven’t you seen the couples on t.v. that are in their 60’s having babies. Don’t try so hard. It’ll happen when the time is right. My husband was told he would never have children. It wasn’t an issue for me since I already had 2 from previous relationships. We were together for 2 & 1/2 years, then in May of last year I missed my period. We now have a beautiful 2 month old baby girl. Be patient!
At about what age do most women have almost no chance of getting pregnant? Dating older woman….?
I’m dating an older woman who just turned 42 and wanted to know if she can still get pregnant if we have intercourse? And about what age do most women stop becoming fertile? Thanks
Fertility declines with age but a woman can still become pregnant until menopause which on average happens at around 45-55 but can be a few years either way.
