What Happens When You Get Pregnant
Know What Happens During the Different Stages of Pregnancy
Pregnancy is one of the most wonderful experiences that women can go through in their life. However, most women who are pregnant for the first time are unaware of the many different stages of pregnancy and they have to go through. Some women will categorized their pregnancy based on morning sickness and other problems that they experience and they refer to this as phases of the pregnancy. In actuality there are three stages to a pregnancy.
The first stage of pregnancy is referred to as the first trimester. This first stage of a pregnancy extends to about fourteen weeks. Some doctors will argue that it is the first thirteen but most will agree that fourteen weeks is the beginning of the next stage. It is during the first trimester that women begin to notice differences in their body. Some women will experience morning sickness during this stage, some more than others. It is the common misconception that morning sickness only happens in the morning but if you were to ask women who has experienced morning sickness, they will tell you that it can happen at any time. During this stage that you will also begin to notice that your breasts becoming more tender and sore and some women report that they noticed an increase in the size of their breasts at this time. At the end of the first trimester, your baby will be about two inches in length.
The second stage of pregnancy, the second trimester, begins after the first three and half months of pregnancy. This stage of the pregnancy will last about another three months. It is during this phase that there is an extensive amount of growth in the fetus or baby. Many people will say that the first stage of pregnancy is the most important but the second stage is just as important because this is when your baby grows and develops the most. It is during this stage that you will begin to show. You will find that none of your clothes fit anymore and you now have to turn to those dreaded maternity clothes. At the end of this stage the baby will be almost fourteen inches in length.
The third and final trimester begins around month six of the pregnancy and continues until the baby is born. The belly continues to grow and get bigger and bigger. During this stage women begin to complain of increased back pain and the general feeling of being uncomfortable. Women in this stage of the pregnancy tend to be more emotional about the arrival of the baby and sometimes about things in general. Women have reported that they were tense and testy during this stage, while others reported they cried a lot during this time. This does not happen to all women at this stage. For most women there is an increase the amount of worrying that occurs. At the end of this stage, the baby should be between eighteen and twenty-two inches in length and should weigh close to eight pounds, which is the size of the average baby.

QUESTION:
What happens when you get married at the court house??
I am 7 months pregnant and we really wanted to have a wedding before the baby, but we just bought a new house and have no extra money. I guess the only other option would be going to the court house. What happens there? Do you just sign papers or do you actually have a little ceremony? Do you dress up for it? I have no idea what to expect.-
ANSWER:
First, apply for a marriage license. See what the laws are in your state. In some states you need to wait about 3 days from the time you apply for a marriage license until the time you can actually get married. In some state there is no waiting period....meaning you can apply for the marriage license right before the ceremony. However, I would still do it about a week before, just to get it out of the way. Then, make an appointment for a courthouse wedding.
YES, you will have an actual ceremony. You DO need to say the vows, exchange rings (if you want to...it's not mandatory to have rings), have the kiss....and you are done!
At some courthouses you can have lots of guests....others, just a few. Check with your courthouse as to their rules and policies. Also, check about your state guidelines. In most states you need to have two witnesses over the age of 18 who will sign the marriage certificate as witnesses. This can be ANYONE who witnesses the wedding. You don't need to have a maid of honor and best man if you do not want to.
You can dress up....or not! It's really up to you. However, since it IS you wedding, I would dress up. You can wear a simply dress, a semi-formal dress, or an actual wedding dress! It's all up to you.

QUESTION:
Does this happen when you get pregnant on birth control?
I know pregnancy is always a possibility when sexually active, but there are so many symptoms and I don't think it's likely that I am. I have been having terrible migraines and sometimes I randomly feel very nauseas and for some reason I usually feel very full but then all the sudden I'm really hungry! Anyway a couple weeks ago I worked a horrible schedule and forgot my birth control pill at least twice, same week I had sex 3 times, once was unprotected but without "release." That weekend, about 4 days after, I started bleeding a little so I took the white period pills and just decided to get my period over with, but it was very light...only 2 days with 1 tampon per day (I usually use at least 3 a day during my period). But it also could've been lighter just because I usually go every 3 months without a period and I had just had it a month before. Again, I really don't think I'm pregnant but he possibility is there so go ahead and give your input, especially if you have been through this! I'm very scared, because I didn't think of this possibility before and I've been taking motrin, tylenol, excedrin, aspirin, etc to try to get these headaches to go away! I'm pretty sure that's terrible for a growing fetus! If you know, what exactly can that do to a baby?-

QUESTION:
What happens when you go to a behavioral health unit while you're pregnant?
I am 8 months pregnant and my life is a mess. It's a long story that I don't care to share, I just want to know what the repurcussions of me trying to get help might be. Can they take my daughter from me when she is born because I check myself into a mental ward? There is no one else to care for her and I don't want her taken away- she's the only reason I am alive right now and I am desperate to find help before she gets here. I'm homeless, jobless, carless and my husband is a fugitive so I don't think there is any thing else I can do. I have no help financially, emotionally, structurally or elsewise. I am disabled and cannot work, am filing for disability compensation but have no income at this time, my mother passed away a couple of months ago and that on top of my other struggles in life have left me at the point where I don't know what to do once I open my eyes every day, if I could I would just stay asleep- it's the only option that doesn't keep me stressed out beyond belief. I have a constant panic attack from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed every night, have no routine whatsoever and just need help. I need someone to teach me how to live again. Thus the idea of going to the hospital where I can receive intense inpatient therapy. Any knowledge on this or advice?-

However, taking birth control pills is considered to be very popular because you will find that it is effective, convenient, and also affordable as well.
Another type of birth control, that women often decide to use, is called Depo-Provera. This type can be given by injection every 3 months. It is said that you will be prevented from getting pregnant for around thirteen weeks per one injection. Many women would like to use Depo-Provera because it is a lot easier than taking birth control pills. However, using Depo-Provera will take longer for you to get pregnant than taking the pills. This is a fact that you need to know in case that you think it is the right time to stop using birth control and if you want to find out how to get pregnant you should avoid this injection.
Assume that you want to stop using any birth control methods and you want to get pregnant. The big question in this case is - how long will it take to get pregnant after stop using birth control? Well, let's find out the answer to this big question together.
how long will it take to get pregnant after stop using any birth control methods?
It is not easy to get the right answer to this question. Actually, you can get pregnant as soon as your body is ovulating again, but the question is, when is your body ovulating? It depends on what type of birth control you were using, and before you decided to use it, your menstrual cycles were normal or not.
If You Were Taking Birth Control Pills
In case that you were taking birth control pills as your method to avoid getting pregnant, then, it may take approximately 2 weeks, after stop taking the pills, for your body to ovulate. However, this is just a fact that it should be, but actually, it may not be like mentioned because it is not easy to tell when you will ovulate again. Some women's body can get back on track right after they stop taking the pills, but others need to wait for a few months. However, this is not considered to be uncommon at all.
If You Were Taking Depo-Provera
As previously stated that Depo-Provera will take longer than taking the pills for your cycles to get back on track. It is a fact that this method is designed to prevent you from pregnancy for about 3 months, but it may prevent you for longer than that. Depo-Provera also has a very complicated process inside your body in order to prevent you from pregnancy, and because of this, after stop using Depo-Provera, you may need to wait for a year before your menstrual cycles return to normal, and it may take around two years before getting pregnant.
How Long Should You Wait Before Trying To Get Pregnant?
It is safe to start right after you stop using birth control, but there is very less opportunity for you to get pregnant. So, it is recommended that you should wait until your cycles return to normal, then, you can start trying. By having a regular cycle, it will be easier for you to predict your ovulation period and find out how to get pregnant faster as well.
Finally, if you have been waiting for so long and your cycles will not get back to normal, or anything, that you think it is not normal, happen to your body, just do not hesitate to see your doctor immediately to take care of that issues. If are trynig to find out how to conceive and it is taking a long time try pregnancy miracle for solutions that have helped thousands of women conceive.

QUESTION:
I am confused about getting pregnant after d&c please help?
Okay I had a d&c 5 weeks ago,the baby stop growing at 6 weeks 2 days, and when I did this my doctor said that 2 weeks later I would get my period. I went and saw my doctor 2 and 1/2 weeks after d&c he asked about the period and I told him I still had not had it but he did not seem at all concerned and just told me to take the birth control when my period did come. The thing is that when I had the d&c I bled for about 1 1/2 weeks and I had clots coming out, I went to the ER and they said that everything was fine it was just tissue missed. for about another week after the clots stopped I was spotting and the spotting stopped only recently. When it was coming to a stop it was brown and then it was bright red so I thought my period was sure to come. Unfortunatly I still have not gotten my period. The thing is they said that two weeks after the d&c I was able to have sex again, as I did on the 3rd and 4th week after giving myself some extra time, the sex was unprotected. My doctor never mentioned that I would be able to get pregnant before recieving my period he only mentioned that after I get my period to then start using birth control pills, so I did not think too much off it. But now I am starting to get concerned because I have read online that you can get pregnant before then and that your lining is so thin you will loose the baby if you are not closly monitored. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and if they can give me some advice. I have called my doctors office but they just tell me they will have someone call me and noone ever calls me back. I am getting stressed out because I feel like I am getting no answers and I am so confused about everything.-
ANSWER:
when i had a D&C (because of irregular periods) I got my period 5 weeks after the day I had it done. This was in keeping with my 'usual' 5 week schedule.Based on MY experience, i would expect you to get your period 4 weeks after your d&c (if that's how long your normal cycle is, regardless of how long you bled).
Also, it IS TRUE that you can get pregnant again straight away. You would normally ovulate 2 weeks before you could expect your period. If you body got straight back on track when the pregnancy stopped, it is possible you could have ovulated (and therefor conceived).
2 weeks after you had unprotected sex, take a pregnancy test.

QUESTION:
Getting pregnant after d&c?
I had a d&c 5 weeks ago a 6 weeks pregnant. I was curious of you're able to conceive if the HPT show a vert faint positive? Is it possible for me to get pregnant during this time or do I have to wait for it to show negative? If it's possible how long after intercourse can I test and possibly get a positive test? If it's not possible when should I expect my period? It's been 5 weeks since my procedure. Thanks!!!-
ANSWER:
While you still have HCG is in your system (the hormone that that shows up as a positive test), you won't ovulate and you won't get pregnant. Your best bet is to wait until all of your levels have gone back to zero. After my miscarriage it took 6 weeks for my cycles to begin again and 5 months before I got pregnant. Don't be too worried if your first couple of periods are extremely light, as it takes time for your uterus to heal and reform the lining.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
Getting pregnant after D&C?
What are some of you experiences? Was it hard for you to get pregnant after a D&C? I had a miscarriage and a D&C in late December(partial molar pregnancy) and we have been trying to get pregnant since the Dr ok'd it in March. No luck yet. Inspire me! :O)-
ANSWER:
well, not everyone is the same, i have seen others get pregnant within 2-3 months, it took me though 1 1/2 years after my D & C, not that it was because of the d & c, i was just stressing so much, so that didn't help, till my doc gave me clomid, and i got pregnant 1 month after. try not stress, relax, and it will come. good luck

QUESTION:
getting pregnant after D&C?
how long should i wait untill i try to get pregnant again. i had a D&C 2 weeks ago as i had a missed miscarriage. is it safe to start trying now or should i wait a couple of periods? has anyone got pregnant straight after a miscarriage without a period in between?
thanks x-
ANSWER:
after a d&c, your reproductive system will return to its normal cycle...unless you have an irregular period or hormonal imbalance...so it's ok to get pregnant again...although your body may be ready physically, you have to consider the psychological trauma brought about by the miscarriage....i suggest that you wait a while..you might be stressed out thinking that it might happen again on your next pregnancy....give yourself and your husband a time to grieve and accept the loss...
but still...the best thing to do is ask your doctor for advice...it's hard to give a clear answer to your question without knowing the full history of your case...not all medical advice is generic to everyone...it's case to case basis....so please consult with your OB...
good luck! god bless!!!

When To Conceive A Boy

Figuring Out When To Conceive A Boy Or A Girl Baby
I often get emails which ask me to help the writer determine the best days for conception. This magic fertility window can be a mystery and many people just blindly guess at it. Some just determine the number of days in their cycle, split that in half, and then hope for the best. Others begin trying to conceive around the second week of their cycle. There are far better ways than this which give you more control over the situation. I will discuss them in the following article.
Possible Conception Days WhenYou Don't Care About Your Baby's Gender: Generally speaking, if your only concern is to get pregnant, and whether you have a boy or a girl doesn't matter to you one way or another, then you should know that most women have around a five day period which gives them the best change to conceive. This generally covers the period that starts about three days before the egg becomes ready to be fertilized and then two days following this initial day.
If you start trying too soon, then you allow all of your work to be for nothing because most of the sperm chromosomes would've died by the time the egg is ready. But, if you try too late, it's the egg which has deteriorated or died off.So if you are too early or too late, then you are either leaving the sperm or the egg behind.Your best chance of success lies with getting as close as you can to your ovulation day. If you hit this correctly, then this is when both sperm and egg are at their newest and their best (before time and age begin to weaken them.)
So how do you know when this day is? Well, there are much better ways to know than guessing. Truthfully, the best way to know is to test your bodily fluids which show detectable changes at different points in your cycle. The bodily fluid that is the easiest for you to measure yourself is urine and saliva. Any kit that you buy should give you very specific instructions on how to use it. Follow the instructions until you get your positive reading and then try to conceive for up to two days after this (to allow both egg and sperm to remain healthy and most likely to complete the mission.) However, if you do care about your baby's gender, then the instructions are slightly different, as follows.

QUESTION:
Has anyone used the Shettles method when trying to conceive a girl or boy?
I've been hearing about couples using the Shettles method to conceive a girl or boy. I guess the theory is that sperm carrying the X or Y chromosomes move at different speeds, and consequently if you want to conceive a girl you should have intercourse further from ovulation than if you want to conceive a boy. Has anybody ACTUALLY tried this and had it work???-
ANSWER:
yes we did it for my son.Abstain sex until day of ovulation then ,right on ovulation day we had sex once and 9 months later another beautiful boy!

QUESTION:
Im feeling ovulation cramps right now, when should I have intercourse to conceive a boy?
I should be the most fertile on the tenth and eleventh, but I feel cramps right now on the eighth. We want to conceive our third child and wish for it to be a boy. We are using the ovulation timing method.Any idea of what to do? Im confused from all the information out there.
we already have 2 girls and would be happy with either another girl or a boy, but we want to try our best at having a boy.-
ANSWER:
You cannot do anything to determine the sex of your child. There are many old wives tales out there but they are not scientifically accurate. An egg carries the XX chromosome while the sperm cell carries XY thereby determining the gender of the baby. Many sperm cells enter your body and they each have a set gender and it's really pure luck which sperm reaches the egg.

QUESTION:
Does anyone know if you are more likely to conceive a boy or girl when using Clomid?
I was just wondering. I am sure we are going to have to resort to using Clomid at some point and I was just wondering if anyone knows if you have a better chance of conceiving a boy or girl. Thanks!!
-
ANSWER:
Unless you use the technic of conception "in vitro", the chances of conceiving a boy or a girl are (more or less) equal. But, as the male spermatozoides (y) have less weight than the females (X), they can run faster to the ovum (your egg cell). They also die sooner than the X-spermatozoides (for girls)
Like this, if the conception date is during to the ovulation dates of your period (more or less between the 11th and 16th day before your next menstruation - if you have a 28 day period regularly), male spermatozoides arrive earlier to the egg than the female (X) ones. So the chance to get a boy child is a little bit bigger in that case.
If the relation resulting in pregnancy takes place earlier than your egg arrives, the male spermatozoides (y) will die till that time and the bigger (slower but more capable to live longer) spermatozoids X will win the course... and you have more chance to get a baby girl.
How to know the right time?
- ask your doctor (or pharmacy) for a LH-test
- you take your temperature and when its higher from a day to another, then that night the ovulation took place, so this is the right time to conceive a boy.ok, i think your doctor can explain more on this ...
improtant thing is that you get a healthy child (boy or girl).

ANSWER:
Choice of a baby BOY or GIRL
Hope it is useful for some of you in planning stage. For those of you do not have any plan in the near future, you can keep it for future
reference.
Background:Man's sperm consists of X & Y spermatozoa, X spermatozoon decides the
female whereas Y is the male. Referring to these physiological properties
of the spermatozoa, gynecologists set up the theory of 'Choice of a girl
or a boy'.1st factor: Food
If you want a baby girl:
Husband must eat more alkaline food, wife eats more acidic food.
If you want a baby boy:
Husband eats more acidic food, wife eats more alkaline food.
Alkaline food: vegetables, fruits, egg white, milk, algae, etc.
Acidic food: meat, seafood, etc.
2nd factor: Timing (When to do it?)
If you want a baby girl:
Frequent copulation during pre-ovulation period.
If you want a baby boy:
Copulating just before ovulation or just after ovulation.
How to confirm ovulation period:Body temperature increases (you may want to use SPC chart to monitor your
body temperature here).3rd factor: Penetration (How to do it?)
If you want a baby girl:
Husband to avoid deep penetration in the female vagina during copulation.
If you want a baby boy:
Deep penetration by the husband is suggested.
Reasoning:
Characteristics of X & Y spermatozoa
>X: Marathon runner with good stamina
>Y: Sprinter but poor stamina>So, with deep penetration, the chances for Y to reach destination will be
>higher.4th factor: Stimulation
If you want a baby girl:
Wife should avoid stimulation during copulation. Secretion from female
vagina becomes alkaline when stimulated, therefore this promotes the
activity of Y spermatozoon. If you want a baby boy:
Husband ejaculates after wife has been stimulated.>5th factor: Wife's Preparation
If you want a baby girl:
Rinse the vagina with solution dissolving 2 spoonfuls of white vinegar in>1 liter of water. Since an acidic condition decreases activity of Y
spermatozoon.
If you want a baby boy:Rinse the vagina with solution dissolving 2 spoonfuls of soda in 1 liter
of water.6th factor: Positioning
If you want a baby girl:Female to be on the top position & male to be on the bottom position.
If you want a baby boy:
Male to be on the top position & female to be on the bottom position. This
posture allows the Y spermatozoon to reach the destination faster. The wisdom of our (?) ancestors!
For those planning to have a baby & those who will need to plan in future,
the chart below may help you to predict the sex of your future child. The accuracy of the chart has been proved by thousands of People and is
believed to be 99 percent accurate.>Believe it or not.

When To Get Pregnant

How to Increase Your Chances of Getting Pregnant Naturally
The absolute irony is that we seem to spend half our adult lives trying to avoid getting pregnant and assume that as soon as we stop contraception, we will quickly become pregnant. However, it's not always like that and many couples spend many frustrating months waiting to "hit the jackpot" only for what we assumed was inevitable to not happen at all.
If you would like to know how to increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally, there are a number of simple measures you can take which will help things along. In reality though, around 80% of normal healthy couples will have conceived within a year and another 10% within 18 months. However, playing the waiting game is not much fun and many find that what they expected to be an exciting and special time becomes an endless round of timings, frustrations and disappointment.
The number one, most important thing you can do is to establish when you ovulate. Ovulation happens 14 days before your period, but if your periods are irregular, you will only know this after the event. Ovulation prediction kits are an absolute must if you want to accurately determine your most fertile times. The ovum usually survives for between 12 and 24 hours and sperm can live for 72 hours. Therefore, intercourse should take place a couple of days before ovulation, on the day of ovulation and, less importantly, on the day afterwards.
Another very important area for those wanting to know how to increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally is to look at your diet. Sticking with the principles of a healthy diet is always good practice, but never more so than when you are trying to conceive. Ensure that you are eating all the essential vitamins and minerals is vital and if you are at all unsure, consider taking a supplement. For men, one vital element is Zinc as too little can reduce sperm production. Maintaining a healthy weight is also essential and being either overweight or underweight can lessen your chances of conceiving.
Avoiding known harmful substances is also crucial. It's best not to drink alcohol at all but if you or your partner do, stick within the recommended limits. It's also wise for both parties to stop smoking before you try to conceive as smoking can decrease fertility by at least 30%. Plus, if you do conceive, the chances of a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby are diminished. With regard to drugs, it goes without saying that you should avoid non-prescription and prescription drugs, unless taken on the advice of a doctor who is aware that you are trying to conceive. For those wanting to know how to increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally, an excess of caffeine can inhibit sperm production and is thought to be harmful for the foetus, therefore being sensible and sticking to just a couple of cups of coffee a day is well worth it.
Despite researching and putting into practice tips on conceiving quickly, some couples still do not succeed after several months. Rather than leaving matters completely to chance, it makes sense to implement a tried and tested method which is guaranteed to work.
If you would like to see details of a holistic system which will eliminate infertility and show you how to increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally, giving you the baby you so want, please visit How To Become Pregnant Quickly

QUESTION:
What will happen to my abdominal scar when I get pregnant?
When I was 12, my left ovary and fallopian tube were removed. I have a vertical scar that starts about 1 inch above my navel, down to an inch above my pubic hair. I have obviously gained weight since I was 12, so my scar hasn't stretched much, but my belly has. It looks like I have a butt on my abdomen. So seeing that scars aren't very elastic, what will happen when I get pregnant? I'm kind of worried about this. Thanks a lot!-

QUESTION:
(2 part question) 18 weeks pregnant, went to the ER for pains, have PID?
I started getting really sharp pains in my lower left abdominal area 2 days ago. I went to the ER yesterday afternoon because I couldn't handle the pains and my doctor's office was on lunch-break. I have a history of getting Pelvic Inflammatory Disease on and off since having Mirena a couple of years back. Anyway the hospital diagnosed me with a UTI and PID. Since I'm pregnant the doctor on call wanted to keep me overnight for treatment because PID is potentially dangerous when pregnant. She contacted my doctor who said that keeping me overnight wasn't necessary. I'm kind of concerned now. Should they have kept me? Or is my doctor right? Also the doctor on call at the ER said Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is always caused by Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. I've been tested twice in the past year for STDs. The first time was Summer of 2010 when I got PID and started seeing a new doctor and this year in May when I found out I was pregnant. Should I get tested again? I'm worried because I've had the same sexual parter (my fiance) for over 3 years. Can anyone help please?

QUESTION:
HELP!! 28 weeks pregnant and i think i may be leaking?
i was 28 weeks pregnant this past wednesday. week before that i went to my doc appt and they took a sample of my urine like always. i was experiencing some itching and more discharge earlier that week. doc said my urine came back fine. acouple of days later i still had the itching and discharge so i called my ob nurse and i told her i think i may be getting another yeast infection so she told me to get over the counter yeast infection cream and i also told her that the past couple of days i have been cramping off and on. they are painful cramps but they are light menstrual like cramps. today i noticed that when i stand up sometime i feel like im leaking something bc i felt it go down my leg. it wasnt alot but enough for me to notice. i also wrote down the times my stomach was having them light weight cramps and they were 12:14-12:15, 12:33-12:35, and 12:40-12:41. im still having them come and go but again they arent painful. this is my first pregnancy and i am not sure if this is harmful, dangerous, or may mean something is wrong with my baby girl. please help. i just started the yeast infection cream last night and i seem not to itch as much but still have alot of discharge and the leaking feeling. please help. when i spoke to my doc at the appt he said that it was normal for the itch bc you stay moist down there when pregnant and hardly ever dry. what should i do please help and what could this mean? i dont go back to the doctors until april 14th. thanks-
ANSWER:
Go to the ER! It's dangerous if you are leaking fluid and don't get seen right away. The fluid you're losing is fluid that surrounds your baby! If it's not amniotic fluid, then it's probably just discharge. Discharge texture changes and varies. A way to distinguish the two is by smelling it and if the fluid smells sort of "sweet" then it is amniotic fluid. Either way, you should go to the ER and get checked because you are also having cranping. It could also be pee. You're getting bigger and sometimes a bit escapes with the baby moving around. Smell it and go get checked! Good luck!

Trying Conceive
Trying to Conceive After Depo Provera
Conceive after Depo-Provera
Trying to get pregnant quickly after Depo-Provera is quite difficult. Just ask anyone that's been on it. Simply put i was, making this a matter near as well as dear to my heart...
1st, today i want to explain precisely what Depo-Provera is. Depo-Provera is known as a synthetic progesterone shot that is given once every ninety days to stop conception from taking place. So what the shot really does is keep the body in a prolonged condition of pseudo-pregnancy, and therefore it forces one's body think it's pregnant. You see, progesterone is the bodily chemical released in the aftermath of release of an egg. It's the hormone which prevents your menstrual cycle from starting, and additionally sustains being pregnant. As a result of having the shot each and every 3 months, your body stays saturated with the progesterone and as a result no egg release transpires. For that reason, your cycles quit until you decide to go off the injection. This is where the down sides commence.
In older days, Depo-Provera was considered like the latest miracle drug. Depo rendered users 99.9% in fertile until such time as you didn't want to be. Doctors would convince you your fertility cycle would restart within a few weeks of missing the following shot, and if not, they would just provide you with a reverse bodily hormone injection to start your cycles over. The things they failed to explain to you was basically the infertility issues that came along with it, and also the withdrawal that you would endure whilst you came off. Hairloss, symptoms of pregnancy, sporadic cycles, cycles every two weeks, and many times not having your cycle back at all. Many women continued to wait at least a year to have their fertility cycles back, and when their menstrual cycles did resume, they were intermittent at best. Most of the time though, their cycles resume a regular pattern.
Nonetheless the most important thing to remember is not to try to become pregnant too soon after your actual fertility cycles resume. Why?
You will see that after your menstrual cycles continue, you've got bouts of infrequent menstrual spotting and bleeding. There does exist a good reason for this. The simple truth is, along with having ovulation discontinued for all that time, the lining of one's uterus has become terribly thin. There have been no cycles to remove the lining of the uterus which would be your monthly period. That uterine lining is what sustains pregnancy. The lining must be dense enough for the fertilized ovum to drill down into it to uphold a pregnant state. If that lining is not actually dense enough, even if you were fortunate enough to fertilize an egg, it's likely that chances are that you may miscarry. The explanation that you have erratic spotting until your menstrual cycles regulate after stopping the injection is that your body is trying to thicken that lining on its own. That way, your body would definitely sustain a pregnancy if it were to occur.

QUESTION:
Trying to conceive, but my husband likes me to be on top. What are my chances of conceiving?
I have read over and over again that it's best for the man to be on top or doggy style when trying to conceive. Problem is my husband keeps pulling me on top before he ejaculates. What are my chances of conceiving?-
ANSWER:
Your chances are still good. When you are fertile the opening to your cervix will be open, and when he "goes" in you, alot of sperm are push up side the opening to start their swim. Those are the ones that will have a chance of making it, even with you on the bottom once up sit up some will come out anyways. Good Luck ****baby dust****

QUESTION:
What kinds of things to prepare for before trying to conceive?
My husband and I are tossing around the idea of starting to try to conceive. I have been using the Nuva Ring for 2 years now. What kinds of things do I need to do to prepare my body before trying to conceive. How long does it usually take after you get off birth control? Is there a certain diet I should or should not start? Vitamins I should or should not take? Anything that will naturally help the process. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks! Thanks for your help! ( When I ask about "preparing" I am referring to my health and body, not financial planning etc.)
-
ANSWER:
Take prenatal vitamins when you are thinking about trying - you want them in your system for a month or more before trying. You can find them at any drugstore. As to diet - nothing specific, just be healthy when it comes to diet and exercise. "Act" as if you are pregnant by cutting back on caffeine, stopping alcohol, smoking etc . . .
I would also recommend that your husband and you both schedule an appointment with your doctors for a check-up. It can take a healthy couple under 35 years old up to a year (or more) to conceive before you should become concerned about fertility . . . so try to be patient and have fun.
Good luck and best wishes!

Pregnancy Due Date

Pregnancy Due Date Calculator - Get The Week by Week FAQ!
When most women find out that they are pregnant, the first thing they want to figure out is when the baby is due. This is the most common use for a pregnancy due date calculator. However, there are also other uses for websites that provide these calendars.
While you can find out your estimated delivery date from your doctor, who will calculate 280 days from your last period to determine this, you can also use online pregnancy due date calculators. They use the same method, and also can give you week by week information on how the baby is growing and what the fetus is like at each stage of pregnancy. Some of these calculators can also tell you what symptoms you might be experiencing and what can be done to alleviate them a bit. Most of these websites aim to give you as much information as possible. You just register with the website and you can just log in to get all the information mentioned above.
Many times doctors use ultrasounds in order to confirm the accuracy of a pregnancy due date calculator. This is often done because women don't always accurately know when their last period started, or the date of conception. By using an ultrasound, the due date can be confirmed or altered depending on the state of development of the fetus. This can be a more accurate way of determining that due date than a calculator.
Just keep in mind that however your delivery date is determined, it is not likely to be the actual date when the baby arrives. Babies come on their own time, and this actually just gives you a good idea of when to expect the baby. Typically most babies arrive either in the two weeks before or the two weeks after the due date. Those arriving a couple weeks before the delivery date are still considered full term since anything after 37 weeks is considered full term. Once your due date has passed you will have to have frequent doctor visits to monitor the baby and make sure that it is doing well. Usually once a baby is more than two weeks late a doctor will induce since it starts to get riskier after this time.

QUESTION:
How can I determine my pregnancy due date with irregular periods, without an ultrasound?
I have PCOS and I was wondering if there was any way to calculate my due date without having an ultrasound.-
ANSWER:
Sorry blood tests can't measure the level of pregnancy hormone for fetus age like normal pregnancies. I have PCOS(Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and the only way is by ultrasound for people who have PCOS. Believe me I wanted to try and find out any way I could without an ultrasound but that was the only way. The ultrasound is called an LMP (Last Missed Period) as you know with PCOS, we can't be sure when to expect our next period so we can't work out when our next will be due. The longest I went without a period was nearly 3 years. I fell pregnant naturally and I am now 31 weeks pregnant, and can't wait to see my little bundle of wrinkles. I did miscarry my first because of the PCOS, so please take it easy, and do have the ultrasound cos it will help the doctors know your precious bubs age and also it can help you. Good luck

Is it ok not to use ovulation tests when trying to get pregnant?
I have between a 32-40 day cycle so i was going to start having sex on the 18th day and then every second day until the 31st day what do you think? i'll use ovulation tests next month if i don't succeed...anyone get pregnant without using ovulation tests and just by guessing??-
ANSWER:
Deciding whether or not you want to use an OPK to get pregnant is totally up to you. Some women who are fortunate enough to experience "clock work" cycles are able to predict their LH surge by themselves. Others who have more of an erratic cycle, like yourself, do benefit from using Ovulation Prediction Tests around CD10 and on until you've detected your surge. Keeping an eye on other things like the quality of your cervical mucus and your basal temperature are cheaper, easier ways to go about detecting peak fertile days.
If you're really trying to get pregnant, using an OPK would be beneficial, if you're outlook is a little more laid back, I suggest relaxing and going with the flow.
Best of luck to you, and lots of baby dust.

QUESTION:
After 1 Year trying to get pregnant, Will Ovulation Predictor Kit improve changes or should seek fertility doc
I have been using the "let go and let God" approach to conceiving and have felt in the past that if it is going to happen, it will happen naturally. But after 13.5 months of trying I am wondering if I should try an ovulation predictor kit or skip straight to fertility counseling. I have a regular cycle every 32 days (give or take a couple of days every now and then) and I usually experience mittleschmirtz around ovulation. I desperately want to get pregnant but since I suffer from pms and experience all the sypmtoms some women get during the two weeks before their period i.e. cramps, headaches, sore muscles, fatigue, irritability, increased hunger and sleep, swollen and tender breasts, you name it I get it. I am so disappointed every month and am wondering if I should just keep letting nature control the situation or find out if there is a more serious problem of why I have not gotten pregnant. Can I seriously keep missing the small window of opportunity to conceive or what?-
ANSWER:
Ovulation predictors aren't a bad idea. They help a lot of women. But don't wait too long to go see a specialist. Each passing year reduces your chances of pregnancy.Best of luck!

Ways To Not Get Pregnant
How Much Does An iPad Costs
With Apple's non-stop upgrade of their iPad, it is pretty hard to determine the exact price of an iPad. The price changes day after another depending on what country are you from, availability of stocks, and local market competition between authorized retailers. Model is also another big factor that greatly affects its pricing. Yes, these are all iPads but the prices vary according to hard disk capacity, features, and upgraded version.
But to give you an idea if how much is an iPad, the following is just a basis. This is the current lists of iPad prices while I am writing this article. Prices are in US$.
- With WiFi, 16GB costs around 0, 32GB costs around 0, and 64GB costs around 0.
- With Wifi & 3G, 16GB is around 0, 32GB is around 0, and 64GB is around 0
- With Verizon MiFi, 16GB is 1, 32GB is 731, and 64GB is 831
As you see, the price difference is not really big. In selecting an iPad to buy, you must consider your budget. For me, the hard disc capacity is not really important considering that you can always use a flash drive externally. What important is the whole unit and I think 16GB with WiFi and 3G is the best choice if you have a tight budget. But of course you can always go with higher disk capacity if you have an extra hundred or two.
The 16G with WiFi is also ideal for students. I would recommend this because of its price and there's nothing to look for. It has a WiFi so you can connect to Internet in all areas with Hotspot. But then again, the above figures are just an estimate. The real market price is changing daily so you can always check Google or visit the link on resource box for updated price lists and a possible free iPad if you time the promos.

QUESTION:
38 weeks pregnant, ways to bring on labour?
Im 38 weeks pregnant and want to know ways to bring on labour. im not really getting any signs of labour only a few fake contractions each night but thats it.
im just so exhausted.-
ANSWER:
With my first baby, I went naturally 6 days before my due date. I expected to go early with my second and third as well since its not as common to go past your due date with a second and third baby, especially if you went early with your first. Boy was I wrong! I tried everything, and I mean everything with both my other pregnancies! I was walking my first child to kindergarten everyday and was totaling almost 4 miles per day. I had 2 membrane sweeps, was drinking raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil supplements, having A LOT of regular sex, I tried the spicy food, pineapple, chinese food and eggplant parmesan that everyone said would help. I had massages, acupuncture and reflexology done as well. Nothing did at all! I went 6 days past my due date and finally it happened, on its own and naturally. With my third, I did all the same, but instead of 4 miles a day, it was about 1 1/2 or 2. Again, nothing helped. I went into labor late at night on my due date and had my baby 4 hours after my first contraction.Sorry to say, but your baby will only come when s/he is good and ready. Despite what you try to do to get it going for you.

QUESTION:
36 weeks pregnant and disguisted with little baby bumps, anyone else feel this way? PREGNANT WOMEN PLEASE?
With my first son I was little and petite, and with this one my stomach is huge. They told me it could be a 9-10lb boy. My first son was only 7lb2ozs. (Thank goodness since I already had a c-section I am getting another one!)
And I was at the store the other day and the clerk looked at me and said you don't have much longer do you. I told her no. She was like I am six months pregnant and miserable. I looked at her and was like there is no way your pregnant she picked up her shirt to show me her little itty bitty bump. You could bearly see it. I was like it must be nice to be that little. I told her she needed to carry my bump around for a while. Does anyone else get jealous over the girls with the little baby bumps, when it looks like you have a watermelon inside of you? I think I'm Just tired of not being able to put my own pants on. LOL... I have to have my husband help do everything this time around.
I love being pregnant and letting people know that I am. Like I said I think I am just getting frusterated not being able to do simple things, like putting on my own pants. LOL
I don't want anyone to think that I don't like being pregnant. I love being pregnant. I guess like the women who keep saying they wish their bump was bigger, I wish sometimes I was smaller. I wish I could get down on the floor to play cars with my son and then get back up again without the help of my husband. Or use a computer chair to move around my son's room to help him to pick up his toys off the floor. I love every minute about being pregnant, but sometimes I just wish that I could move around and even turn over in my bed. But I only have a few weeks left. So I'm gonna enjoy it. Good Luck to all of you that are pregnant!-
ANSWER:
i hated that too. i met a girl when i was 8 months pregnant at the hosptial who was in labor and barely looked 4 months she said she was 2 weeks over due. i looked like a beached whale

Gender Of Your Baby
Find Out The Gender Of Your Baby - Ultrasound Testing
The pregnancy ultrasound is by far the most exciting and fun test for women to take. At approxmately 18 weeks into the pregnancy it is used to accurately pinpoint the expected arrival date of the baby, as well as see how the baby is developing. Yes, you will be able to determine whether the baby is a boy or a girl as well.
1. Track The Development Of Your Baby
A general practitioner will be able to tell if your baby is healthy or whether there is cause for concern. Although this is quite alarming for the expecting parents, it is essential for the health of your baby. If something is wrong, you will be required to go in for further testing.
2. Get To Know Your Baby
With Ultrasound, you can be introduced to a visual of your baby for the very first time! In many cases this is the first real wakeup call that both expecting parents have that a baby is on the way. Although tiny and not fully developed, the baby will be moving and some of its shape will be recognizable. The person carrying out the ultrasound will be able to point out how the baby is doing and answer any questions.
3. Is It A Boy Or A Girl?
The pregnancy ultrasound will reveal the burning question asked to the expecting parents time and time again - is it a boy or a girl? Depending on the procedures employed by the place giving the ultrasound, this information will be given to the parents upon request. This information is given on the understanding that it is as it appears, and may not be correct. Some rare cases have been known to be wrong, but in general, it is always right.
4. Things You Must Know
As you know, the Ultrasound can help to predict the due date for the baby. Unfortunately, if the prediction by the Ultrasound differs from your doctors prediction, you need to prepare for both due dates! A later ultrasound may reveal a different date. If this happens, prepare for the earliest date, just in case.

QUESTION:
Is it possible to plan what gender your baby will be?
Is it possible to go to a fertilization doctor and plan the gender of your baby and have an artificial insemination or that other procedure of fertilization. I forgot the name of it.So is there a way.
-
ANSWER:
Adoption can give you a guarantee. But if you're not talking about that, there are ways (although ethically controversial and expensive) to do it at a gender selection clinic. Also, there are theories about using calendars or eating certain foods to "plan" the gender of the baby, although these methods don't offer a 100% success rate.

QUESTION:
How to does the ring tell what gender your baby will be when pregnant?
I don't know anything about it
But apparently if you hold a ring above your pregnant belly which ever way it turns that's the sex of the babyIs this true?
How far along do u have to be to do this?
How do you do it?-
ANSWER:
You tie it to a string and dangle it. Hold it still then let it do its thing. if it swings back and forth then it is a boy. If it swings in a circle its a girl. I don't how it works but i did it when I was 8 weeks, it said boy and were having a boy so it was right for me.
The chines calendar said it was a boy too and that was right. I think that one is more reliable though.
Congratulations on the baby!!

QUESTION:
do you know any old wives tales about what gender your baby would be?
I was wondering if ppl out there experinced things that could corresponde with some old wives tales about what gender their baby would be. One pregnancy one i know is that if you get heartburn, your kid will have a full head of hair and this was true in the case of my first kid. But this is just for fun cuz i'm prego again and my bf swears this one will be a boy (we already have 3 other boys from previous marriages) and we want a girl this time so i just wanna playfully joke about how this one will be the girl!-
ANSWER:
Nose and butt spread slightly while pregnant - girl because she is stealing her mommies good looks
Look as great if not greater - boy because he cherishes his mommyIf someone asks for your hand and you offer it palm side down, it is a girl (more demure)
If you offer it palm side up, it is a boy (grasping a tool)
If you offer it to the side and it is the right hand - a boy (shaking a hand)
If you offer it to the side and it is the left hand - a girl (offering hand to dance)If you can't eat the heel or crusts of bread - girl - too hard on your stomach
If you like/love the heel or crusts of bread - boy - more roughage for a rough boyCrave fruits and veggies - girl
Crave meat and potatoes - boyGet hairier during pregnancy - boy
No change or less hairy - girlIf you pull down on the lower lid of your left eye and there is a Y vein, it is a girl
If there are two veins running perpendicular to each other, it is a boy.

QUESTION:
How did you predict what gender your baby would be?
This is Just for fun...
Did you have a dream, did you base it on science, did you have some other way of guessing, and where you right?-
ANSWER:
With my first pregnancy, I did have one dream that I was having a little girl. I bought clothes for both though just to be on the safe side. One day when I was going through all I needed to still get, it just hit me~~~I was having a girl! This is long before my ultra-sound was done, and sure enough, a girl!
Now my second pregnancy, I was so mad and all around moody, plus carrying lower, so I at first figured I was having a boy. I was sorting through baby clothes to find my newborn items, and again it just hit me super hard "What am I doing? I'm having another girl". Again before ultra-sound, again 100% accurate! Sometimes mothers intuition can be the best guide!

QUESTION:
Can you tell what gender your baby is by the number of ribs in ultrasound?
I am 17 weeks and have an ultrasound photo that cleary shows the ribs. Does anyone know? I cant wait to find out!!-
ANSWER:
Men and Women have the same number of ribs. There would be no way of finding out the sex of a baby by counting the ribs of your baby. The only way of knowing the gender is by seeing in ultrasound if the baby has boy parts or girl part.
